Is there a psycho in your office?

The Metro, UK - 19 August, 2004.

ARE you charming but aggressive?

Do you switch allegiances to people who are the most useful to you?

If the answer is yes then you could be a psychopath. Researchers have redefined the term to include people who are anti-social or manipulative, whereas previously it was confined to those who showed no remorse for their actions. They concluded there are many more psychos than previously thought - up to one in every 100 people. But the good news is that most are unlikely to become mass murderers. They are more likely to be cold-hearted businessmen who swindle their companies, said the joint USCanadian team. The researchers will now compare 100 economic criminals with normal managers in the US to find ways of spotting potential problem employees, reports New Scientist magazine.
